If you’re not familiar with the distinction between Bitcoin and other digital currencies, at least understand this:
Bitcoin is an incorruptible form of money. It has a finite supply limit. It is tied to the tangible world through proof of work that demands energy expenditure. Bitcoin needs to be mined, it can’t be spontaneously created. There are no leaders, no CEOs, no heads of state who can stop it. Bitcoin is a substitute for fiat currency. It is interchangeable, digital gold.
The rest of the cryptocurrencies don’t quite compare. There are thousands of other coins and tokens, but Bitcoin stands alone.
Recognize the distinction.
Know the difference.
